Barcelona Pavilion, Expo Shanghai 2010

Design and production of exhibition contents and architecture. Maintenance and operation of the pavilion during the event.

Designed by Dani Freixes, the pavilion architecture transported to China a fragment of the layout of Cerdà’s Eixample district. The residential blocks were built out of screens to create a vast video wall and show images of a constantly evolving city.

The use of mirror glass multiplied the perspectives and made the space appear longer, so visitors had the sensation that they were really immersed in the streets of Barcelona.
